Where is Blue Honeymoon Tattoo located?
Blue Honeymoon Tattoo is conveniently located on Main Street in Islip, NY right next door to Starbucks. We're a 1/2 mile west of 111 and .7 miles from the Islip train station.
Where can I park?
There is a free parking lot behind the shop, as well as a handful of 2hr spots directly out front.
How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
You must be at least 18 years old to get tattooed in the State of New York, even with parental/legal guardian consent. That said, you can definitely set up an appointment prior to turning 18 for when you're of - age!

A valid government - issued ID with your photo and birthdate is required for all tattoos; this could be a driver's license, passport, military ID, or anything else that can legally prove you're over 18. All fake IDs will be confiscated so don't even think of trying it.
How do I book an appointment at Blue Honeymoon Tattoo?
To book an appointment, please fill out the form under the "Book an Appointment" tab. Upon receipt of your submission, we'll reach out to you to confirm the date of your appointment and collect a deposit.
Do I need to leave a deposit for my appointment?
We require a $100 deposit to secure all appointments, which goes towards the final price of your tattoo. Think of it as tattoo layaway; if the final cost of your tattoo ends up being $300, only $200 would be owed day-of.

Your deposit acts as assurance that your artist will do all of the needed homework for your appointment and reserves your time slot.
You can leave your deposit via our website, over the phone, or in person. Deposits must be submitted at the time your appointment is booked and are non-refundable if your appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours notice.
Does Blue Honeymoon Tattoo do walk-ins?
Yes! We heavily recommend giving us a call ahead of time to check availability, as there's no guarantee we will have an open spot at the exact time you're looking to come in.

We're more likely to have walk-in availability for smaller tattoos (lettering, simple designs, etc.), and recommend setting up an appointment for anything on the larger side or for groups of three or more.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash as well as all major credit cards and ApplePay. We do not have an ATM at the shop, but we're walking distance from a Chase and Bank Of America!
Does Blue Honeymoon Tattoo do piercings?
No, we do not do piercings at this time.
What should I wear to my appointment?
We recommend wearing comfortable and loose fitting clothes that allow easy access to the area getting tattooed to your appointment.

We also recommend a bathing suit top for all women who are getting something on their torso, and have a private room if you'd prefer to get tattooed in there.
Can I use tattoo numbing cream during my appointment?
Blue Honeymoon does not provide tattoo numbing cream and we heavily advise against using it, however we can make accommodations if you wish to apply your own ahead of time. If you do wish to use numbing cream, it is extremely important that you let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
Can I bring a friend with me?
Absolutely! Friends and family over the age of 18 are welcome to join for moral support as long as they aren't in your artist's station while you're getting tattooed.
